The Fifty Rules of Sogetsu
The Fifty Rules of Sogetsu
This is one of the guiding principles of Sogetsu Ikebana.
The "50 Rules of Sogetsu" are 50 rules compiled by the first head of the school, Teshigahara Sofu, that encapsulate the essence and principles of Sogetsu Ikebana.
Along with the "Kadensho," this book serves as a guide to Sogetsu Ikebana.
The book is written in easy-to-understand language even for those who have just begun learning about flowers, such as "Rule 1: Just because the flowers are beautiful does not mean that all of the ikebana is beautiful," and the content can penetrate deeply depending on the reader's experience.
