"I want to create works while listening to the heartbeat of the earth. Because that is my origin."

This is the first collection of works by globally active artist Tetsunori Kawana. Kawana himself has carefully selected his representative works from works dating from 1980 to 2024 . The 180- page book contains ikebana and land art works from his time in Hong Kong to the present.

Author profile

Tetsunori Kawana

Born in 1945. Since 1982 , he has studied under Hiroshi Teshigahara, the third head of the Sogetsu School, and has been strongly influenced by him as he works as a visual artist. He has created bamboo installations and held workshops in Moscow, New York, Australia, and other countries. He pursues his "commitment to life" from a global perspective every day. He is a lecturer at the Sogetsu School headquarters.
